THE
SKUNK
APE
FILES
Florida's
BIGFOOT
The Skunk Ape Files Web Site is for all
sightings in the state of Florida. Older
sightings are listed under "Sightings" and
years they happened in. The more recent
sightings that are reported in 2009
regardless of  the year of sighting will be
found under Recent Sightings. These
sightings will go under regular Sightings at
the end of the year as newer reports come in
for 2010.

I want to thank everyone who has emailed
me their story's and sharing them with me . I
want to thank Henry Cabbage of The Fish and
Game Commission for his help and the use of
his story from the Florida Living Magazine.
Thanks also to Bobby Short and Ray Crowe
and all the Internet folks who have worked
hard to bring the Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and our
own Skunk Ape to the attention of the people
around the world.

Counties will be listed in different colors so
as you look through the years you'll be able
to see how many sightings from each county
there have been.

SIGHTINGS
The Skunk Ape ranges in color from black, brown, red and a few white and gray ones have
been reported. They have hair that is described as 1 inch to 6 inches long. They stand any
where from 5 feet to 9 feet tall. Their arms appear a little longer then humans sometimes to
a length below the knees. Usually long legs are reported but not always. When the face is
seen it's described as human looking more often then ape like. The gait is said to resemble
a humans but with more speed and fluid movements. The creature is usually reported to
stand erect, but some have reported that it's hunched over. There are reports that say it can
be aggressive but most are quick encounters as the creature moves out of sight of the
witness.

We have several folks who research the creature in the state and one or two who claim to be
experts on the creature.

Documentaries have been done on the Skunk Ape.I was in one myself. Researchers have
expeditions in search of the creature and I think that most of the state has been searched at
one time or another. The Skunk Ape remains hidden and the searchers come back empty
handed. It seems like the ones who see the elusive creatures are the ones not looking for it.
