is18.8 miles
long.This is a flat
trail passing
through pine and
hardwood forest
and across many
streams. Some
wading maybe
necessary during
rainy season.
Thanks to the
Forest Service
there are now 40
small bridges and
catwalks over
tributary streams
which hikers once
had to wade.The
primary trail is
blazed orange(On
next page,but still
hard to see.)There
are blue blazes
that mark side
trails to campsites
and access points
and places of
interest.
Be sure to sign in
when you come to
a Register box. It
provides a
valuable record of
trail use and of
special impotance
to rescue
personnel.
