Expedition into the Everglades for Outside Magazine./ He finds saw grass,mosquitoes and pain

SOUTH CAROLINA-Lee County,S.C./ Scape Ore Swamp./ June 29/ A young man driving home from
work late at night said a green "Lizard Man" attacked his car./ It had red glowing eyes./ When he
got away and made it home the father went and checked out the car./ It had a big dent on the
roof and the mirror was tore off./ The Sheriff was called./ There were tracks found but claimed
they might be a hoax./ Mr. E. B. Founder of the National Cryptozoological Society said it wasn't a

VOLUSIA COUNTY-Oak Hill,Fl./ This sighting was by two witnesses delivering papers./ It was about 3: 30
AM./ The creature was large ape like and very hairy./ They spotted the creature by their truck lights./ The

COCOA- Brother and sister driving down a desolate road at 11 PM. / The driver had to pull over to answer

several college students out of Sail University. Great bunch of

MARION COUNTY-Ocala National Forest,Fl./ Wild life photgrapher saw a creature when he was
returning to his camp right before noon./ He thought at first it was a bear in the high grass but
when it stood up he saw a creature that after spotting him ran off on two legs./ Later that night he

about a "Wild Man" in the Green Swamp./ He was seen around farms in the area and no one could
catch him./ This lasted over 8 months./ Sheriff D. Page decided enough and he went after him and
caught him,and it really was a man not a monster./ The man was a 39 year old Taiwanese Mariner
who had walked out of the Psychiatric Ward of the Tampa General Hospital. / He lived in the
Swamp 8 months ,living on small animals ,bugs and what ever he could steal to eat./ They
cleaned him up and fed him and told him that they were going to send him home./ This story
ended badly as the man hung himself in his cell with his belt.

witnesses saw Skunk Ape emerge from the water and head for the bank./ A car traveling the road beside
the canal scared the creature back into the water and it went under ,fully submerged./ They looked and

carrying his tree stand walked into the woods to find a tree that would give him a good view to sit
and wait for his prey./ The hunter wasn't using a rifle as he was bow hunting./ He had a clear view
of an open field that had heavy woods on the other side of oak and pine./ He'd been waiting for a
long time when he saw movement on the other side of the field./ He first thought it was one of the
other hunters he was with but didn't understand why he would be wearing dark colors./ Looking
through his binoculars he still couldn't get a clear sighting./ The thing was big,walked out of the
woods and crossed in front of a very large oak tree then turned again back into the woods../ The
creature walked up right and never went down on all fours./ The witness said what he saw

back seat,were traveling down a road close to Penny Farms on a clear,light fog night , when he saw
something on the other side of the road./ his headlights illuminated the creature when he got closer./ It
was 6 to 7 feet tall,covered in brown hair./ He stopped the car and so did the driver coming from the other
direction./ The creature crossed the road in front of both cars./ His daughter asked him what was that they
had seen./ He didn't want to scare her so he said it was a cow, but his mind was finally accepting the fact
that they had just seen a Skunk Ape./ She replied that it looked like a "Bigfoot" to her./ His daughter was
eighteen when he finally sent this story in and they still talk about what they saw and the joke about

ESCAMBIA COUNTY-Escambia River,Fl./ Fisherman fishing on the river which because of lots of
rain had been elevated and the water now joined the swamp,heard movement in the water and
looked to see a dark figure 6 to 7 feet tall wading in the shallows./ The creature seeing the
witness started wading out to him but the water became too deep,it turned and went back to the
shallows./ It stood and looked at the witness and then turned and went deeper into the swamp.

out into the dark but no one answered,as no one was suppose to be on the property the men, scared, said
who ever was out there better make their selves known./ No one did./ They tried to duplicate the sound
but it didn't sound the same./ Later on in 2003 a girlfriend heard the same sound./ His son said that he saw

CRAWFORD ALABAMA-Sept.1992-/Witness and sister had just turned onto Hitchie Road when from the left a creature
began to run right in front of the car. It had reddish brown, 4-6 inch hair, all over. Estemated height about 4-6 foot./
Head lights directly on creature. It turned its upper body and looked directly at them, then ran across the road to the
right. Its face was black skinned as were the palms and feet also.They were traveling at that time 20-25 miles an hour.
