POLK COUNTY-Saddle Creek,Fl./ 1985or1986/ A hog hunter with his dogs traveling by boat saw a
Skunk Ape leaving edge of the water and run off into the woods.
GEORGIA- OLGETHORPE COUNTY,GA./ Two hunters saw two different Skunk Apes as they waited in their different
tree stands./ This was a father and son team./ The father said he saw a black haired creature that was in the prime of
his life./ When it spotted him it turned and went back the way it came down an old cow trail./ After it left the witness
heard something in his sons direction and went to find out what was going on./ He found his son scared to death and
said a creature that had brown shaggy hair walked under his tree stand./ The son refuses to go back to the area.
CLAY COUNTY-Green Cove Springs,Fl./ Driving down the road to their aunts house on road 209 the
witness saw a skinny creature that ran across the road in her headlights./ It was about 6 feet tall
and had hair all over its body.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY- Lithia Sprigs,Fl./ A couple were camping and had been visiting friends
until dark. Going back to their camp the husband stayed in the car listening to the radio while the
wife went in the tent to get ready for bed./ She heard something coming up to the back of the tent
from the woods./ It seemed to be moving on two legs./ She was frozen with fear and then she went
into action ,yelling as she ran to her husband sitting in the car./ He told her to get in,then he used
their flashlight and shinned it on the tent saying who ever you are you'd better show yourself.
That's when they saw a large bipedal, hairy creature walk from behind the tent and go back into
the woods./ They left every thing there and returned the next day to get their things while it was
daylight.
BAKER COUNTY-Lake Management Area,Fl./ Nov./ Witness said he was bow hunting and had
settled into his ground blind to wait for wild hogs to show up at a nearby hollow./ He'd been
waiting about an hour when he heard grunting, thinking it was wild hogs he left his blind. / He
didn't find wild hogs but he did find scat and footprints that were about ? feet long and 6 inches
wide../ They were set deeper in the ground then his 6'4" frame and 320 lbs did.
MARION COUNTY- Gainsville-Ocala,Fl./ Between these two towns./ This hunter had a very scary
experience./ He was followed as he left the area he'd been hunting to return to his truck just before
dark./ At first he thought it was a bear stalking him, then he saw the creature that was following
him./ He couldn't figure out why it was after him until he remembered the deer bait he still had on
him./ He headed down the small trail in the deep woods a little faster until he was running./ He
shot his gun but it didn't scare the creature off./ He said that after he thought about it later and
was a little up set with himself for being scared./ The creature followed him all the way back to
his truck crossing over in front of him then circling in behind./ He saw his truck and ran as fast as
he could jumping in he locked the door./ He headed out of there as quick as possible./ Going back
another time he said he still felt eerie, but didn't see the creature./ He described the Skunk Ape as
being magnificent,black, shiny and big.
1986,Nov.-UNION COUNTY-Bowhunter describes possible tracks, sounds and scatt, near Lake Butler Fl. Sitting in
ground blind he heard a noise that witness thought was hogs. He arose from ground blind and walked to bog to check
out signs. Saw barefoot print that set deeper then his 6'4" frame, with a weight of 275.
