GULF OF MEXICO OFF SHORE:- Fisherman said he played tug of war with a Skunk Ape over a net
full of mullet.
MARION COUNTY- Dunnellon,Fl./ For 5 years the witness an elderly gentleman claims to have seen a large,
hair covered creature./ It had green eyes./ Found 5 toed foot prints on several occasions./ His neighbors
said they saw it to and also shot at it with a 22 rifle.
ALACHUA County-Gainsville,Fl./ Mr. S. Vorch was driving down Wilson Road about 5 miles out side of
Gainsville./ Going over a hill he slammed on brakes, skidded into an 8 foot tall human looking creature
covered in hair./ The creature fell to the ground but got back up again./ Witness grabbed his 38 revolver
and said he shot it 5 times in the chest at point blank range./ The creature just turned and fled on two legs./

CITRUS COUNTY-Homosassa Springs,Fl./ Mr. J. Sohl encountered three Skunk Apes of different sizes./ One
was 8 feet tall one about 6 feet tall and the other about 5 feet tall./ The witness went to his car to retrieve
his camera and got separated from others in his group./ He looked for the creatures and heard something
behind him, turning around he saw the largest of the Skunk Apes about 2 feet from him./ He snapped a
picture but the flash scared the creature and when it turned to run away it knocked witness about 15 feet./
The picture didn't turn out.
SUWANNEE COUNTY- Live Oak,Fl./ Mrs. Thompson saw a tall, up right creature a short distance away under
property lights./ She reported to Fish and Wild Life Commission.
MANATEE COUNTY-Different experiences with something strange on land bought by several people for
investment property./Years 1975-1979/ Several teens liked to use the property for target practice./ On this
night the first teen shoots a 12-gauge shotgun and starts the events./ Loud screaming, youths ran and then
thinking they might have hit one of the farmers live stock they returned but found nothing./ The next day
the witness called the farmer and checked but all live stock were accounted for./ Another time several
friends and their Spanish teacher go with the witness to the property and spot eyes as big as tennis balls./
Moving the truck they were in, found what they had been looking at was standing in a ditch 3 to 4 feet
deep.The creature had to be at least 8 or 9 feet tall.
BROWARD COUNTY-Coral Springs,Fl./ Jan.15th two brothers had encounters on two different nights./ The
first brother only heard it while out walking in the dark./ The other brother with a friend, in the same area,
turned a corner on the trail and came face to face with the creature. They Ran.
SARASOTA COUNTY-Venice,Fl./ Sheriffs Department received three calls about 2 boys chased by Skunk
Ape:This was mentioned earlier.
LEE COUNTY-Cape Coral,Fl./ Mr. R. Davis saw the Skunk Ape again, this time at 2 AM./ He heard noises out side./ His
dog was barking, they went out together but dog ran under car./ He said he shot at it again with his 22 pistol and it ran
away into the woods.
LEE COUNTY-North Ft. Myers,Fl./ Mr. J.Holly and Mr. B. Holly and a friend saw what was called an Everglades
Skunk Ape,6 feet tall./ It had long black hair and was standing in a clump of trees.
1975-DADE COUNTY Public Records- Ramona writes that Gordon Strasenburg turned up perhaps the best story of all

Remarks:The report stated that at the above time, date and location the witness and his son Michael Bennett and a
friend Lawrence Groom W/M 54 yrs-223-0108, driving down dirt road towards Black Point near the water dyke they
observed what appeared to be a giant ape-like man, approximately 8 feet to 9 feet tall and very heavy set, black in color
with no clothes, standing next to a blue Chevy and rocking the car back and forth with great force.
The witness further stated they observed a man getting out of the vehicle in a hysterical manner and yelling for help.
When the lights of the vehicle that the witnesses were in lit up, the ape like man turned and went into the mangroves./
The witnesses stated they could hear the thing moving through the mangroves. / At this time the witness' vehicle was
turned around and leaving the area./ Upon departure they did not see where the man with the blue Chevy went.( Hibner)

published in issue of "New Detective" in 1976 by author Dean Bostick:a rookie policeman Kim Dunn reported seeing a
tall Skunk ape loping across the road at the edge of town. on Jan.23,1975./ During this investigation,Ramona Hibner
uncovered several other stories credited to Broward County files,in much earlier years(40's and 50's) all fitting the
description of an upright walking man figure,naked,haircovered and black with height ranges from 6 to 8 feet tall with
substanial bulk the upper body,human leg shaped man figures...Investigation follow up by Ramona Clark.
MONROE COUNTY-Everglades National Park,Fl.-1975-76/ This happened north of Key Largo. Witness was camping
with his parents, doing late night fishing./ They heard something in the thick underbrush and witness said he threw a
piece of coral at the bushes and shined a flashlight in the direction the sound was coming from. / What ever it was
started moving back and forth very agitated. His father said it was time to load up in the car and leave and they did so
as quickly as they possibly could.They were all very scared and knew this wasn't something they'd ever encountered
before.
1974-1975-St.Francisville Democrat in TUNIACA HILLS,LOUISIANA:published April 7,1977; there was a story of a 16
inch two-toed footprint found in 1974: Probably a gator track:/ Bryant Conway in "Successful Hints on Hunting and
Tracking White Tail Deer" said a Bigfoot roamed there in Tunica Hills Wildlife Management Area and in Concordia
Parish, Fort Adams,F rancisville to Jackson Back to Baker area./ According to the article, a deer hunter shot at one
three times in 1975./ Allegedly,a boy and girl photographed one of these 6-7 feet high hairy monsters near Unham
Springs (Corrected to read Denham Springs) and another report, a crippled Bigfoot seen near Pride by two boys fishing,
that would be East Rouge Parish, Louisiana./Story investigated and filed by Ramona Clark and later summarized then
sent to John Green in 1977.
WEBSTER PARISH,LOUISIANA-Jan.1975-Swampy/ Witness and friends coon hunting in the Bisteneau Swamp got lost.
Found a dry knoll and made camp and built a fire to rest an wait to walk out at daybreak. Said that they all knew they
were being circled,they heard movement and splashing. There were several knocking sounds that were unfamiliar to
them. Now based on some of these sighting data bases he would classify it as wood knocking. It seemed to be
something large about 50 to 70 yards out into the swamp and the circling lasted about 45 minutes. Their coon dogs
were up set and acted frightened.There was a story about a supposed 'Wild Woman of Bistineau' who was seen
running around with a knife in her teeth. Witness said he always thought it was a feral woman who was mentally ill.
Never considered a Patty type female with stick in her mouth.
DATE: 11/15/75 TIME: 3:30 pm LOCATION: Clay County, Mississippi TERRAIN: Wooded
OBSERVED: We were rabbit hunting and had finished up for the day. My friend was walking in front of me, I heard
something in the woods that we had just came out of. I stopped and looked to my left and seen something and it
stopped and looked at me and just stood there looking at me. I called to my friend he came back to where I was
standing and staring. We looked at each other and looked back at it and it just walked away. Then he told me that his
father always told him not to go in the woods alone. He said there is no one that would believe us, so it was never
brought up again. And today I am not sure if I should be saying anything now, people might think that I might be out
there a little.

Description of Creature: It was big about 7 to 8 feet tall with long near black hair. It looked to be about 4 feet wide
shaggy
curious, and I felt slightly threatened. I know 75 is a long time ago, but i can remember it vividly.
Additional things: Loud bellowing screams near these bottom lands, always wondered about them, but chalked them off
to maybe a bull on a farm
Activities of Witness: Was on my way to go hunting on south side of railway. The date I put down is approximate, just
remember it was deer season, which starts around the 20th of November here, and goes through January
Description of Creature: 8 feet or close, black hair, extremely muscular, couldn't see face very well on railway, but that
night out the window face was wide, leathery texture, eyes yellow gold and huge, eyebrows long, mouth wide but lip or
mouth area straight across, hair hanging down both sides of face, could see no ears.
Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes: My grandfather always told me before he died
in 72 to stay away from and don't bother the red devil in those bottom lands. No known events since this one.
DATE: 12/01/1975 /TIME: approx. 4:30 pm / LOCATION-Clay County,MISSISSIPPI
OBSERVED: I was 14 years old, it was deer season, and I was headed to the wooded land southeast of the C & G
railroad. When I walked from the roadway onto the railway, I immediately saw what looked like a huge man with hair all
over his body standing right in the middle of the rails looking at me. This thing has always registered in my mind to be
close to 8 feet tall, the hair was black in color, and the scariest thing is that his chest and shoulders were massive, but
looked to be consistent to his height. I had a scope on my rifle, but had always been taught to use extreme caution when
pointing any firearm by my father and grandfather. I walked backwards onto the gravel road, which is now paved, lay
down and crawled up so I could look through the scope at him, but he was gone. I went the opposite way on the railway
and sat down beside a tree off the rails, but didn't see any animals that afternoon. That night I was in my bedroom with
the could see no ears. The light was on when I looked at the window and there was an enormous face, with yellowish
gold eyes, hair hanging down everywhere, wide mouth, slightly flattened nose. I felt

OBSERVED: I was 15 years old visiting my grand parents up from Miami Fla, while on a walk through a remote forest
section of lake Keowee SC at twilight I saw a very large shape walk up a section from the lake about a 20% incline from
left to right across a dirt road and into the dense forest at a higher elevation to the right. I was approx 50 yards away
when it saw me the light was very low but I saw this thing was not human at all, at least 7 to 8 ft tall 450, lbs no neck and
reddish in color. I bolted in a panic this thing ran up the hill and started to parrallel the road in which I running I will never
forget the scream it let out the cove was like an ampatheater, but it sounded like a cow and a pig being killed on a rock
concert sound system. afterwords many people my pastor among many indicated that this creature had been seen and
heard for many years in the area, I am now am a airline captain ex fighter pilot and hold a degree in zooology, one night
I was watching monsterquest and heard a bigfoot scream my girlfriend said I turned white and started to shake. this thing
is real, no question about it.
ALSO NOTICED: Horrible scream like a cow and pig being killed on a loud speaker. very heavy foot falls crashing
through the brush.

ENVIRONMENT: large cove 20% incline water to top of ridge line, approx 1/1/2 mile from
was attached to the barn so she had a good visual of the horses plus the barn was near the road so there may have
been other lighting (my assumption). Suddenly, something ran across the road, jumped the pasture fence and took a
swinging swipe with its arm at a horse as it passed by. She said she saw what appeared to be a bear (meaning hairy)
like thing but was running like a man would run. It was then that she cut a deep gash in her hand on the door frame as
she went running inside the house. Shortly after was when the screaming started in the field behind their house. Not
sure how long all this lasted totally, maybe a few times. I just remember their fear.

OBSERVED: Back around 1975 or 1976 when I was a kid, I was living with my mother in Marshall County AL when one
evening my aunt and two cousins showed up at our door. I distinctly remember the fear that was in my aunts voice as
she was telling my mom that she and the kids had to leave their home because of something that would scream or make
loud noises out behind their home in a field late at night. Seems like I recall my aunt saying she looked out the window
and saw whatever it was that was making the noise, but was sure it wasn't a man. I remember my mom asking her the
typical things like, if she was joking or was she having a trick played on her. As a kid and at that time especially, I had
no knowledge of what a bigfoot was, but I do remember their fear that night. Again, this is from the memory of a kid and
not the actual people it happened to. Through the years not much has been spoken about it but when it has, the story
is the same. I will add more in the additional things observed!
Additional things: Like I said, I was a kid and I was more excited about my cousins coming to stay the night than I was
hearing about a screaming creature so many things probably were said that I never heard. One thing that always stuck
in my mind was my cousin showing me where she had got cut on the hand and saying "that thing" did it. One day in
school several years later, we both had ended up at the nurses office at the same time and as the nurse was attending
to her needs, the school nurse looked down at her hand and noticed the large scar on it. When asked about it, my
cousin didn't say much, but as we both were leaving the nurse, I told my cousin that I had forgot about the scar and that
I wanted to know how she had gotten it. She told me that one evening she was playing with her dog on the front porch
when she noticed that the two horses they had in the field next to their house were acting strange and running about.
