GEORGIA-1977-Dougherty County-Nearest town Albany/Three Marines stationed at Base in Albany, attending
electronics school, would go to an area called Skeeter Beach,heavy pine forest and swamp. Very remote./ They would
park their car by a bridge on main road and walk back into the woods into Skeeter Creek. The main Creek was
Kinchafoochoo . That is where they left their car.This was a popular party place.They decided on this one night to stay
over. Building a small campfire they turned In an the main witness said he was awakened by one of his friends saying
something big was in the woods. Something was circling their camp on the other side of the creek. Witness said a
feeling of dread came over him and the others and the three friends started piling wood on the fire. As the fire lit up a
bigger area the thing moved back staying concealed. They threw more wood on the fire and the intruder backed on up
to the ridge behind the Creek. Witness said he was sure that it was walking on two legs and was making a lot of noise.
They stayed awake the rest of the night and at day break they each got a branch from the fire and headed for their car.
From then on going back there they always left before dark.
PASCO CPASCO COUNTY-New Port Richey,Fl./Moon Lake- People reported seeing huge gorilla like creatures walking
upright./ Three members of one family saw three creatures walking in the yard of their home. The largest was reportedly
described to Ramona Hibner as a full ten feet tall. Investigated by Ramona and her husband Duane Hibner.
1977-Palm Beach County-Delray Beach,Florida- Feb.18/ This reported in Miami News an account by Delray Police
Lieutenant Lorenzo Brooks./ According to investigator Ramona Hibner,the suberintendent of a nearby golf course,west
of town told an interesting story.He said he saw what seemed like a black,hairy,7 feet tall creature drinking from lake
near the second tee. His discription fits the local stories of the Skunk Ape/ There are three golf courses in Delray
Beach: The Delray Beach Golf Club,The Lakeview and the Villa Delray golf courses./ I don't recall specifically which one

news of its capture near Blanco Texas,inspired Bigfoot-sized searches. Look-ups on the Chupracabra surged 571% and
related quires on what does Chupracabra mean? (Goat Sucker) caused Renewed interest in the equally notorious
Montauk Monster : Jerry Ayer,owner of Blanco Taxidermy School,has possession of the "Mythical Beast"body. According
to CNN,the animal was discovered by one of Ayers students who put poison out to catch an unidentified animal that had
gotten into a family members barn. Is this really the famed Chupacabra?????Theres a video on CNN,pretty gross folks
I'm told, I haven't checked it out yet, said the animal had unusual features, including abnormally long legs and teeth.
Theres been claims before so I guess we'll have to wait on more news.
1977-ADAMS COUNTY- Natchez,Mississippi-Jan.17./Dorothy Abraham and several other residents of Irving Lane
reportedto Police an Almost Human creature that growled at dog and fled when Police car arrived. They said it was over
6 feet tall,dark,barefooted and naked./ Police found large tracks which were published in the Natchez Democrat News.
on Jan 20,1977. Ramonas notes- Upright barefoot prints have been seen on Dilbels Sanbar 5 miles from town. Other
accounts of huge hairy upright walking creature,dark in color,naked,almost human seen by several residents in the
Natchez area. Brookhaven and Loyd Star is in Lincoln County.
1977- This was published in the Brookhaven,Mississippi Ledger on Feb. 16, Ralph and Paul Case Ramona tracks found
by Blue Mill Road,west of Loyd Star. Boys found huge barefoot tracks that set extremely deep in the ground. 15 inches
long or more. Later found more tracks headed off into heavily wooded area off Blue Mill Road./ Pictures in the
newspaper show five toes in a row. There were other reports of the same creature.
LEE COUNTY-1977./ A Buckingham resident reported seven shots fired at animal but had no effect. L. Woodard told a
story of his neighbors son who was 12 years old ,J. Negrod, who called him when the boy saw a man at the window of his
home. He said that they lived in a very wooded area of East Fort Myers. The father was away and the boy was home
alone, the residence was on Drawdy Road.
He said this same home was broke into the night before which was a Wednesday night. He didn't think that the two
incidents were related. Woodard and three other men searched the woods around the home and saw an animal
that,"Wasn't human and looked like an ape". He claimed it stood about 7 feet tall on two legs and wasn't making any
noise,the animal ran away. Searching they found the animal again and a neighbor fired seven shots from a 22 rifle at a
distance of 25 feet. He was sure that the bullets found their mark because he heard the impact as they hit. The animal
then started towards them but then it fled. He said it walked on two legs and smelt like sulfur.They called the Lee County
Sheriffs Department twice,But the Deputies didn't find any thing when they searched

She also reported to Bobby Short in 1997 that she had a report of another shooting in 1951. The sighting was reported
by a woman who lived in Thomas County,Georgia,near the town of Boston,Georgia. Ramona said that the woman and
her husband had gone outside because their dogs were barking, they saw a giant of a man, upright and covered with
hair that was cornered by the dogs on the front porch. Her husband shot at it and the creature ran off. The woman
claimed her stepfather had found 20-inch footprints outside his cabin in the morning after seeing what he thought was a
black man at least 7 feet tall looking in his window during the night. She claimed that he said he went outside with a
pistol and fired at the intruder, which ran away into the nearby woods. NOTE by BOBBY SHORT saying she and
RAMONA viewed her original interpretation of the 1951 Thomas County ,Georgia situation with some skepticism.
MARION COUNTY-Ocala National Forest,Fl./ Rev. S. R. Whaley, a baptist preacher saw a Skunk
ape while cutting wood./ He said that he had trouble with his chain saw and stopped to work on it
when he saw movement and looking up he saw a Skunk Ape./ Worried that it might attack him he
went to his truck for his axe when he turned around the creature was gone./ He was asked if he'd
been drinking. / He answered,"Not for thirty some odd years and if I wanted to lie about something
I could find something more believable."
ORANGE County-Apopka,Fl./ Oct 3rd./ A Security Guard said he was attacked and scratched by a 10 foot tall Skunk
Ape./ It tried to break down the door to his guard house after he was able to get into it./ Reported by the Apopka Fire
Chief on Oct.7th.
COLLIER COUNTY- Alligator Alley(Road between Naples and Ft.Lauderdale some call Beeline Hwy.) / A Deputy hit what
he claimed was a Skunk Ape as he patroled the road./ He said the creature towered over his patrol car./ The car was
damaged./ He lost his job because he wouldn't change his story. / Later he was hired in Lee County in Ft.Myers./ He
never changed his story./ The creature wasn't found.
HERNANDO COUNTY- Nobletown,Fl./ Two witnesses saw Skunk Ape fighting with dogs.
MONROE COUNTY-Key Largo,Fl. / Two men saw Skunk Ape in field.
MONROE COUNTY-Tavernier Key,Fl./ Mr. C. Stoeckman and his son ,who was 13, and Mr. S. Tubbs told Miami Hearld
Newspaper what they saw: Mr.Charles Stoeckman said the eyes were colorless./ Mrs. Stoeckman said the eyes were
evil. Could see huge shoulders and head above 8 foot bush.(Mrs. Stoeckman wasn't mentioned as one of the witnesses
of the sighting so I'm not sure if she was there or repeating information she heard from husband and son.
MONROE COUNTY- Marathon Key,Fl./ Mr.Stoeckman, son and friend see Skunk Ape three different times. Reported
sighting and talked to Miami Hearld.
HENDRY COUNTY-Labelle,Fl./ There were four people who claimed to see a Skunk Ape cross the road as they were
walking away from their van that had broken down.
PASCO COUNTY-Moon Lake,Fl./ Several witnesses saw a nine foot tall Skunk Ape by full moon light leap across the
road in one bound.
PASCO COUNTY-Moon Lake,Fl./ Several people said they saw three Skunk Apes./ One was about 10 feet tall./ They
were in a residence yard./ There were other sightings in the area.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY- Naranja, near Homestead,Fl./ Nov./ It was just before sunrise witness was on the way to
bathroom and looked out window and saw a shadow of a head./ He said he grunted and the creature grunted back./
Window 6-7 feet off the ground./ Witness ran to get father and they went immediately outside to see the creature
walking near woods on their property./ It faced them; It was wide as two people standing side by side./ It stood 8 or 9
feet tall./ It weighed about 600 lbs./ Shoulders were estimated to be 4 foot across./ It had jet black hair, was ape like and
had a long face that was man like./ Father had gun but didn't shoot./ Next day after father picked up witness from school
returning home found neighbor in yard with his gun and his dogs./ He said he saw "Bigfoot" and was going to kill him.
PALM BEACH COUNTY-Delray Beach,Fl./ Golf course superintendent saw a 7 foot tall Skunk Ape with shaggy black hair.
ALABAMA-Mobile=5 people saw a red eyed Skunk Ape at rural house at night.

harass a Skunk Ape./ It was reported he didn't want someone catching and displaying a Skunk Ape in a circus or zoo. /
