SIGHTINGS 1989
GEORGIA-(NOTE)-I thought this was interesting,it made me smile: JONES COUNTY GEORGIA-(August 1889,published
in the Lafayette Advertiser,Lafayette Louisiana:) It was in the "Oaky Woods" of Georgia in Jones County,that animals
seem to have the intelligence of man. One of the largest planters,Mr.J.K.Beal making his rounds noticed that in one of
his fields that bordered the Pocasin Swamp,the best rails from his fence were missing. The old decayed rails still set in
place. The planter thought that the Negro's were taking them but couldn't find a clue to the thieves. Then his hogs
started disappearing until he had none left.Then in the same field that the rails were missing his corn field began to
suffer. Bushels of roasting ears began to disappear. He did find tracks that looked like a huge bear had made leaving
the field. A party of men were put together to hunt the bear.Traveling through the Pocasin Swamp which interspersed
with dry hammocks, they traveled through mire and ooze,on through shaded islands and back again into the swampy
ground. At last they reached a large hammock rising almost like a hill from the swamp. There high and dry they found to
their astonishment a great pen,large as a house. The pen was made with the planters rails. Within the pen was the
remains of his roasting ears and his hogs.The hunting party were amazed and sat down to try an unravel the
mystery.There was only one Solution the bear had stolen the fence rails,hogs and corn selecting the best shoats was
fattening them up for winter.The hogs were recovered ,taken to Albany and sold for seven to eight dollars each to a
local butcher. It was said the butchers customers were so delighted with the sweetness of the port and its juicy richness
that they clamored for more,but fattened hogs by bears on roasting ears were an uncommon commodity and the meat
couldn't be duplicated. On the Fourth of July,while Mr.H.H.Savage was spending the day hunting he killed in the Pocain
Swamp a bear which turned the scales at exactly 481 pounds. It is thought this was the bear that tried its paw so skilfully
in the business of raising hogs for meat. (Published in the Atlanta Constitution in 1889.)

GEORGIA-TROUPE COUNTY- LaGrange-1988-89 / Witness said he took his dog,a female rottweiler,out that night
because she needed to be walked. He said he was coaxing her to hurry as it was raining. / She then started to growl
and the witness started talking to her asking what was wrong. She went to sniffing the ground then started growling
again. The hair stood up on back of the witnesses neck as the dog started acting scared and pulling on leash wanting
to go inside. This was very unusual. That's when he heard a terrifying sound that was low and a guttural growl that went
to a high pitch scream. He decided to follow her lead and they hurried into the house./ After entering he went to his
glass sliding doors and opened them to listen, as he sat there he heard the sound about every five minutes as it got
further away. The witness said he heard peacocks and mountain lions and this sound was not anything like that or
anything that he had heard before./ Several nights later his sister was out side and she heard off in the distance the
same type of sound.

HERNANDO COUNTY-Oak Hill,Fl./ North of Spring Hill,Fl./ Four or five witnesses saw a man like thing near Whitehurst
Lake,two miles from U.S.19./ It had long arms but had no real shape that the reporting witness could tell except it was
big./ Telling his mother she told him that there had been many sightings of the creature in the 70's.

VOLUSIA COUNTY-Oak Hill,Fl./ This sighting was by two witnesses delivering papers./ It was about 3: 30 AM./ The
creature was large ape like and very hairy./ They spotted the creature by their truck lights./ The driver stopped the truck
and as the creature approached it had a sickening odor that over whelmed one witness./ This is the same sighting
reported for Volusia County-New Smyrna./ Witness initials Mr. P.S. in the report he said its hair was long all over its body
and that it smelled like cabbage./ Sickening.NOTE- There were reports on Radio Talk Shows of Bigfoot like creature
running at cars in this same area in 1993 and 1994

Brevard County-COCOA- Brother and sister driving down a desolate road at 11 PM. / The driver had to pull over to
answer natures call./ The woman hearing something coming tells her brother that's when he hears it too and then
something big came crashing through the woods at them./ He ran and jumped into the car that's when he saw the
animal as he sped away./ He said it was dark colored and was 7 to 8 feet tall.

Ape accused of stealing

Shealy,Florida Skunk Ape Researcher . Mr.
Shealy is well known and has been on TV,In
Magazine stories and Documentaries(I'm in
one which also has Dave in it.) The Legend
Of The Skunk Ape made by several
college students out of Sail University.
Great bunch of guys.

Camp ground that also has a Skunk Ape
Museum and he sells hats and Tee shirts
etc.... And probably some great storys from
the area about the creature.

exercise with 4 others.(A C-130 H) crashed on earthen landing strip.before sunrise that morning./ 1 hour before
sunrise./ Walked about 100 feet from others to relieve himself. Stopped in small clearing sourrounded by pine trees./
Some grass mainly sand./Looking down he saw large human bare foot print that had 5 toes on each foot had heel and
an arch. Twice as long as his 9 1/2 size boot. 2 inches wider./ Looking closer saw a smaller set about the size a three or
four year old child would make./ Following tracks they disappeared into woods. Short on time he told others but they
ridiculed him. The plane crash was about 1/4 mile away. approximately 4 hours before tracks were found.

OBSERVED: Driving north on int 75, on the way home from work, it went from dark to daylight, outside. There was not
any traffic going north or south, i slowed my car. wow i said that was weird to my nephew , i looked over to him, he was
asleep. Then i looked back to road, about 50 yards ahead off the interstate i saw a large hairy arm and dark hand
reaching for the end of a guard rail, a large creature pulled itself up a slope and was looking north, it did not see me at
this time, as i got closer i noticed it had a very large head, and upper body reddish and black hair very dirty looking. It
suddenly turned its head and looked at me, it seemed as if we made eye contact, its eyes were dark in color its face
dark in color, skin looked very thick, like an ape. This creature then leaped down the slope so fast it seemed like it
disappeared as i drove by. I pulled my car over to the side of the interstate, screamed wake up to my nephew, i wanted
to get out to see what that was, but when putting my car into park my hand and arm was shaking very bad, i was very
scared. I then thought, no way am i getting out of the car, i then left the area.

am. I worked in Dalton Ga and lived in Ft. Olgthorpe Ga.
