MANATEE COUNTY-Witness claimed for months there was a Skunk Ape around./ At 1 AM in the morning as
he was traveling on Nashville Road where it crosses over Sugar House Creek, A Skunk Ape crossed the
road in front of him./ It was big and hairy./ This sighting was written about in the Bradenton Hearld
News.(July)
MANATEE COUNTY- There was another story mentioned in The Bradenton Hearld News./ This was about a
ranch hand that swore he saw a Skunk Ape standing on a ditch bank./ He was made fun of by other ranch
hands so much so he left his job./ The night watchman was the only one who believed him so the other
ranch hands wanting to have some fun decided that they would place a big teddy bear on one of the gates
that the watch man would check at night./ It being late, very dark when his lights shone on the bear he
drove away thinking it was the creature and as he drove he called the Sheriffs Department from his cell./
He got laughed right out of his job.
SIGHTINGS 2002
MIAMI DADE COUNTY-Close to Miami Florida- October 31,2002-/ Hunting the witness said he heard something like he
thought no living animal could sound like. Going to check out what it was he came upon a 7 foot tall Sasquatch(Skunk
Ape). Claimed it seemed as surprised as he . It was bent over(hunched) It was fall,cool and windy. Doesn't no of other
reports from area. He said it was scary!
ST.Johns-Jan./ Giana River Wildlife Management Area(Giana River Dam State Park) St. Augustine,Fl./ Witness and his
brother hunting for wild hogs with lots of activity during the day by other hunters./ They were the last to leave talking to
the check out Station Attendant (Biologist) about an hour before dark starting to get cold./ Game Wardens had give
orders for everyone to leave so he knew they ewere the last getting out./ Getting ready to leave they heard a loud
scream,several abt 6 or 7 in just a few seconds./ It came from back of Station about 75 yards./ They could hear
something moving around in the underbrush and palmettos very close to the marsh./ Never heard anything like it
before./It freaked him out. Whats worse the biologist left immediately
POLK COUNTY-Lakeland,Fl./ Near phosphate pits an 8 year old saw a Skunk Ape while playing outside his grand
parents house./ Creature was in a pasture waving its arms,he acted angry./ Telling his younger brother to run they
went into the house and told adults./ No one but their mother believed them./ He described the creature as not wearing
any clothes./ It had hair all over its body./ The child was told there wasn't no such thing as a Skunk Ape./ The boy
never changed his story,said he knew what he saw
WALTON COUNTY- Destin,Fl./ March12/ Two women had their car break down and they had to get out and walk in
the dark./ It was about 2 AM/ They were about four miles from town when they heard a loud noise like a scream mixed
with moaning./ Something huge crashed through the trees toward Hwy.98./ Breaking out of the woods it stood 7 feet
tall about 50 yards from them./ It was very muscular and covered in brown/black hair./ Vehicles started coming and
the creature veered back into the woods./ They were going to report it to the Sheriffs Department then decided not to
because they didn't want to have any problems.
