Sightings 2008

ALSO NOTICED: didn't hear a lot of animal activity like birds which was odd because it was the morning, they would
normally be chirping, it was very quiet.
OTHER WITNESSES: just me, my parents did witness the aftermath of the shock on my face.
OTHER STORIES: my father actually saw something kind of walking up right but off in the distance which was too far to
identify and happened way too fast to be sure of.The night before my encounter I had what looked like a hand print on
the window of our trailer, but the hand print was huge and did not match any size of our hands and wasn't there the day
before so it had to be there that night.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning
ENVIRONMENT: at the time it was actually pretty nice outside, normally its hot, humid, and mosquitoes are unbearable,
or its either raining

OBSERVED: I was camping at Myakka river state park in Sarasota county in Florida with my parents. I do nature
photography as a hobby, and i was told by my father that the best time to go shoot nature photography is early in the
morning since that is when most nature starts to wake up and animal activity is at its most active, so i took my father's
advice and decided to get up and go do some photography at around 6:30 in the morning just when the sun is coming
up and there is light. I was walking down a path that is active with tourist and some animal life, there is even a wooden
tower that stands 70 feet in the air down the trail where you can see directly over the forest perfectly. As i was walking
down this trail, i was walking towards a part of the trail where the trail turns into a small bridge to cross over a creek, just
as I am getting closer to the bridge, i hear grunting type of noise off to my right, and i cant see much off in the distance
because of the vegetation. but as i looked over towards a tree that was about maybe 30 to possibly 40 feet away from
me, i could see this large upright figure standing hunched over next to the tree. when i first saw this creature i thought
maybe it was a florida black bear or something but as it moved a little more, i could clearly see it wasnt, cause when it
turned and looked at me, i could see what looked like a human and gorilla mix type of face. it was not very tall but at
least 6 feet, it had dark brownish hair maybe even black. at that point I am shocked and cant even move, and i wasnt
even thinking of grabbing my camera that was wrapped around my neck ready to shoot photos. the only thing i could
think of was i hope this thing does not come any closer to me cause i seriously cant move from the shock. as i regained
my composure a little, i realized my camera was ready to go but as soon as i reached for my camera, it bolted off and
was gone and it had to be heavy because i could feel the ground vibrate below my feet just a little as it was running off. I
was angry at myself for not getting it on camera but i was also excited because of what i just saw. I did however get a
photo of the footprint it left behind.

I think it came right up to the front screened door as the motion light kept going on. Frankly I was too afraid to look out
the windows and cowarded with the dogs in the kitchen till I thought it was gone.
The odd thing was that for the next 3 mornings (same time)there was a very strong musty or poopy odor outside the
front door that hung like a wet blanket in the air. As soon as I opened the door and smelled it I shut the door because I
felt it was in the yard.
As a result of this encounter I would only go outside after daylight and when I heard other cars moving in the
neighborhood. I started going to work late (had an hour and 1/2 ride to Bonita Springs) but wouldn't tell my boss why I
was coming in late. My step-dad was sick so he thought it had something to do with that. He would NEVER have believed
me if I told him that I saw a Skunk Ape and was afraid of it!
My neighborhood had a variety of wildlife in it: Bobcats, rabbits, birds, gators etc.

OBSERVED: Just got up for work and was walking the dogs outside my home. I looked toward the end of the street and
it looked like a truck or something in the middle of the road. I turned away for a few seconds and looked back again. It
had covered a distance a person couldn't cover and stopped as soon as it saw me looking.
he wind was blowing toward the creature so the dogs did not pick up on it till after we were in the house.
So we started this little game where I would look away and it would move quickly forward. When I would look toward it
again it would freeze. It didn't growl or make any noise.
It finally hit me that this was not a game, I was not seeing things and that it was moving directly for me and the dogs.
Frankly I really didn't want to believe what I was seeing.
Judging by the posts, mailboxes, trees etc. that it stood by it was probably between 8 to 9 feet tall, had long hair, long
arms, very muscular, big chested and was HUGE! It was built like a brick building so to speak. I have never seen an
animal that big that could be so agile and move so fast and quietly.
As soon as I knew I was not seeing things I carefully manuvered the dogs to the house and shot into the house. After we
were in the house the dogs barked as it followed me up the driveway!!!!!!

YOUR ACTIVITY- just parked my truck on the Levey and was getting ready to go fishing
CREATURE- in not a small guy myself in 6'10 375lbs and it was a little bigger than me somewhere a little over 7feet tall
weight 350 to 400 lbs its color brownish red, with a strong order of rotting vegetation in the air. When I first saw it, it was
just being caught in the light of my headlights of my truck. It was crouched on the side of the road about 80 to 90 feet in
front of my truck in a ditch looking at me. I honked my horn at it and it just stood up and walk back in to the tall grassy
field /swamp. I decided to go home and not press my luck that night
AREA OF SIGHTING wildlife preserve full of swamp and grass fields with some trees and palm
I Didn't report it nobody would believe me other that other Bigfoot believers
I have been back to the area during the day but nothing was found

LOCATION DETAILS: Southeast Floyd County, east of US 27. Exact location removed for confidentiality.
NEAREST TOWN: Rome Georgia/ NEAREST ROAD: Near hwy, 27
OBSERVED: This is a reoccurring situation. I have seen prints that looked like giant bare feet in the dirt. It was in the
winter time and i know there would be no one walking up the side of a mountain barefoot in those kinds of temperatures.
I noticed i have found them along service roads and along trails by power lines. I suspect they are found there for the
same reason i am there. Deer hunting. There are also three lakes and multiple creeks in the same area. I was hunting
with my wife and i showed her prints and she wanted to leave real quick. I have seen an actual animal when i was in my
teens but i lived in Ohio then. People say that I'm crazy but i know these animals are real. The closest thing that i can
compare them to are giant orangutans. I'm not the smartest guy in the world but i know the woods and every animal that
lives there. I know what these are and that they are real. I live in Rome, Georgia and where i find these tracks are near
to where i live but i don't tell anyone because of the fear some yahoo would try to hunt them.
ALSO NOTICED: yes sometimes i hear tree knocks. And there are places that i won't go alone or unarmed. No i would
never hunt for one. But there is no way in going in this things territory unarmed.
OTHER WITNESSES: Yes once my wife was with me but she doesn't want to talk about it i think it scares her.
OTHER STORIES: Yes i have heard of sightings in Pauling County which is very close to here. But other than that no.
and this is the first time i have told anyone other than my wife.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: In the evening around 4 to 6. All i have ever found are prints but its in an area nobody really
goes i feel they are real and not a hoax.

ENVIRONMENT: on the side of a small mountain, there are small lakes , streams and swamps all around this area.
There is plenty of wild game and fish. turkey, deer and even quail which is a another reason to keep it secret. People
love to kill quail.

HIGHLANDS COUNTY-Nov2008 through JUNE of 2009: State road 70 between Lake Placid and Okeechobee. There are
lots of orange groves in central Fl. This witness, who I sat down and talked with, drove an orange truck through the
winter months,what is called fruit season. He said that there was one orange grove that was really spookie,he said he
was in orange groves all over at night and never felt this kind of fear. This grove was off State Road 70. He said that not
only he but at least two other drivers that he knew had a creepy feeling when leaving the grove at night. There's a gate
that has to be open after you cross a bridge over a creek bottom. This gate after you drive through has to be closed
again. The bottom of the creek had lots of brush and trees in it and you couldn't see very much in it at night. Once out
of the truck after it was pulled through going back to the gate you could hear sticks breaking,wood hitting wood, and
heavy walking and really weird calls. It wasn't a cow as it moved on two legs. He would shut the gate and couldn't get
back in his truck fast enough. They got in the habit of calling the spook the "Grove Monster". The witness stands 6 foot
6 inches tall. I was surprised he'd admit being afraid as most men don't like to show that side of them.
