An enviromental/biology student from New Jersey leaving his home there during the cold snap said he traveled daily
to different State and National Parks here in South Florida. He and his friend were looking for a good spot to fish in
the Picayune Strand State Park when they saw a Skunk Ape enter the trail they were walking on. He said when the
creature saw them it retreated back into the trees. It was about 7-71/2 feet tall. Shocked by what they saw they slowly
started to retreat picking up stones to protect themselves..As they slowly backed away they could see it watching
them from behind a tree trunk and branches. It had matted red/brown hair. There wasn't any hair on its face which
was dark brown/black in color.The hair was short on its head continuing down its neck. From the shoulders down the
hair was longer and was more of a reddish color. The arms and legs were extremely muscular like a body
builders.The arms extended below the waste line. They were down wind of it and didn't smell any foul odor that's
usually associated with the creature. He said it wasn't a regular ape as he had worked with primates in both a zoo and
a wild setting. The witness said he believed it's an animal that as yet to be documented. It wasn't aggressive towards
him and his friend. As they backtracked they saw something along the trail and looking closer saw it was part of a
bear that had been torn a part. Checking down another trail they found some more of the bear strewed around what
looked like beds,more then one. They believed that this was beds of the Ape or Apes as there was branches and
grass piled up in several areas. The witness said he was going back with video cameras, trap cameras and voice
recorder to see if he can get evidence of what he saw.

Picayune Strand is a couple miles east of Naples,in Collier County Florida. It's part of the Fakahatchee Strand
Preserve State Park between I 75 and State Road 41 also known as the Tamiami Trail. The Ten Thousand Islands
National Wildlife Refuge, Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and The Florida National Wildlife Refuge

store and when starting to turn off the highway she noticed something white squatting down on the side of the
highway near the creek about 30-40 yards ahead of her. So instead of turning she went to see what it was.She got
within about 1o yards of it and it stood up straight and turned around slowly and walked into the woods real calm.
Couldn't believe at that time what she was seeing. The thing was a dirty white, very large, taller then the street sign
that was near and fury. Could tell it wasn't human or anything she had ever seen before. It scared her so bad she

| 2010-HIGHLANDS COUNTY=Lake Placid Fl./June20th./ Nearby Ranch-Nearest Road State Road 70./ Hunting with her father 12 year old girl said she was shining spot light around area in pasture where her father had stopped his truck. The Dog set free had chased wild hog through fence and off into the woods. Father climbed the fence ran after the dog and wild hog leaving witness in the truck. There were other dogs in back of the truck in a dog box. These were raising cane . Witness said over the noise the dogs were making she heard a growl and shinning light saw a Bigfoot (Skunk Ape) She started screaming and said she ducked down in the truck. Father coming back to truck with other dog said he didn't see anything strange. No odd smell or anything else, all he heard was the dogs and his daughter. He said she had to have seen a cow and being afraid thought she saw something else. She claimed that she really did see a Skunk Ape. She said it was big and was black and brown in color. Also said she thought it hit the truck. She claimed she saw it and he said she was mistaken. Thought I'd log this on even though possible mistaken identity |

spotlight and started searching what it was we found a good sized pine tree half pushed over then we sat back down
and as soon as we did we heard a very odd growl, then we stood back up and started panning the spotlight when we
saw a very hairy 11ft object we stood motionless as we looked at it, then it darted off and then that's when I left camp
site and went home.

Inverted trees on Prince of Wales Island

I was watching a show called "Monsters and Mysteries in Alaska" (Discovery Channel), and they had Dr. Robert Alley,
of the University of Alaska, hiking with a local guide up a mountain on Prince of Wales Island. The guide told him of old
stories warning people of the "big apes" that live on that particular mountain, and that the apes had turned big cedar
trees upsidedown into the ground to act as markers of their territory.
They showed some big trees, that appear to be upsidedown. They said they were "driven" 7-8 feet into the ground.
They took a close look at one of them, and it does look like a tree that is upside down, with the roots up in the air, and
the "top" of the tree driven into the ground. Dr. Alley said he couldn't find any obvious marking on the trees that showed
any kind of machinery had been used on them. Stories of the inverted trees came out in the 1940s, and timber
operations did not exist on the island until the early 1990s.

OBSERVED: I'm writing this for my 60 yr. old father, Who on the night of August 23 at around 11 pm. He was at his
land rocking on his porch when he saw two glowing animal eyes about 1000 feet away moving around the farm shed, it
was rustling near the shed making racket, now he would of just dismissed it, but 15 minutes later the creature walked
closer to his house and stopped near the large pond, and began to howl, and then gurgle growl. He lives in the country
and has a few neighbors with farm dogs/guard dogs, the neighborhood dogs went crazy barking. Now when I visited
him the next day, he said he heard the wildest animal noise he had ever heard, it gave him the chills. The creature
made a very loud howl that went into a gurgle growl. Maybe it is nothing but it sounds like what the Cherokees called
the wild man, or the hunched back night spirit.
Activities of Witness: Rocking on his porch, enjoying a clear sky and full moon at the base of the mountain.

were mostly wet with sand clinging to them. Most often we would see them on the banks of rivers, quietly watching us.
When we approached them they would slip back into the forests and swamps and completely disappear. One day a
Hunter for our people was able to follow one of these strange beings to it's camp.
Hunter did not know that he had stepped into a trap by following the Sand Person, but soon realized his mistake as the
group ringed him in.
Finding himself surrounded, he laid his weapons down on the ground to show that he meant no harm. After a long wait
with all of them staring at him, one stepped forward. This Sand Person was bigger than the rest, so it was assumed he
was their chief. He faced the hunter and sat down in front of him and in a deep, gravelly voice asked Hunter why he
followed them. As the Hunter explained that it was simply out of curiosity only, the group seemed to relax. After being
silent for a moment the Sand Person asked Hunter what he wanted and Hunter replied "only knowledge of your people,
so that I may go back and tell my people about you".

OBSERVED: we have heard the screams at night a few times, the footprints is all I saw' I haven't seen it.

walked around the yard found a couple things out of place went toward the road and saw the prints very plain it was a
small one 12 inches I measured it, the large one is 23 inches long and the straw and dirt was pushed down where it

searched for sounds on computor of mountain lions. None fit. Then listening to Bigfoot sounds he and sons agreed it
was the same sounds.Witness said he won't return to area again.
